Published on IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control (vol 69, no. 2, Feb 2022), Innovia's research has shown that it is possible to use PMN-PT or PIN-PMN-PT crystal plates of different compositions within the MPB region, obtained from one and the same ingot, to fabricate a batch of ultrasonic transducers which will exhibit similar performance, significantly reducing the cost of materials.
